Our client is looking for a hands-on Change Management Consultant, able to operate strategically to define change strategy, change plans, assess business impacts and readiness - yet happy to deep dive into the development of program communications, training and key messages.
The role focuses on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology predominantly for the field side of our business.
•Multi-stream business transformation project, with high focus on Retail operations.
•Position is based in Montreal.
•Assist program manager to apply change management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced environment.
•Collaborate on the completion of impact analyses, change readiness assessments, identification of key stakeholders, change management strategies and plans; Work with the program manager to ensure the key deliverables of the project are completed.
•Support execution of change activities (i.e., communication, learning, engagement, etc.); planning, coordinating, monitoring, reporting.
•Facilitate meetings, deliver presentations as required.
•Document action items at various change management meetings/workshops
•Take the lead on transition management, ensuring that business as usual is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business
•Prepare affected business areas for transition to new ways of working
•Develop and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
•Understand the deliverables of change management and contribute to success through cooperative processes
•Coordinate efforts with other departments and project teams
•Integrate change management activities into project plans by attending project meetings and working closely with Project Managers
•Communicate regularly to project team - through project meetings and weekly reporting
•Support the execution of change management strategies and plans to support project implementation and adoption
•Support change communications and provide input into the messaging and channel
•Support the alignment between communications efforts and change management efforts
•Help translate the new system functionality and business processes into a language that an end-user will understand to bring about change.
•Draft change communications
•Identify, define and track the training needs required on the project
•Support training efforts and provide input, into the design and implementation of training programs including both e-learning and instructor lead
•Support the alignment between learning efforts and change management efforts
•Provide support in terms of delivering training interventions.
Part-time contract: 3 days per week between Monday and Thursday (20-25 h);
Must Have Skills:
•Solid understanding of the principles, processes and frameworks of successful change management;
•3 to 5 years experience in at least 2 change management projects (operational and/or technological);
•Experience with structured change methodologies and in overseeing the development of e-learning modules;
•Strong collaboration and team skills; able to navigate a large program with key contacts and project resources distributed nationally;
•Experience of delivering workshops and focus groups;
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks;
•Great communication skills, both written and verbal;
•Excellent active listening skills;
•Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
•Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, at all levels in an organization;
•A can do attitude and an openness to change; ability to think out of the box;
•PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills– required;
•Bilingual, French & English – required.
