Job Description

As the Chief Security Officer, you will oversee all aspects of risk management, security policies, and IT infrastructure and report directly to the Executive Team. You will be responsible for protecting all components of the internal network, including software and hardware, and work with your team to create security policies that will protect client and employee information from unauthorized access.

You will also work cross-functionally with other teams-from Legal to Tech Ops--to complete audits, obtain security certifications and compliance with privacy regulations, coordinate security training and gather and interpret user/system requirements to resolve complexities in our enterprise-scale web applications.

In addition to managing and working with internal teams, you will have critical operational responsibilities, from proactive client engagement in security reviews to reactive client engagement during an incident.

Responsibilities:
●Improve physical security on corporate LANs and WANs across multiple locations
●Identify quarterly and annual goals and objectives for corporate security and create and manage budgets to meet such goals/objectives
●Work with teams to assign and delegate authority across all security departments
●Engage with clients regarding security reviews and specific security concerns
●Develop security response plans and policies
●Understand local, federal and international laws concerning IT security and work with teams to ensure that the business follows these policies
●Project manage and complete security audits and certification processes (e.g., SOC, Privacy Shield, ISO)
●Train personnel on best security practices


Must Have Skills:

Skills required:
●Past experience as a CIO, CTO, CISO, CSO or equivalent
●Minimum 10 years’ working experience in relevant field
●Knowledge of specific security guidelines such as HIPAA, SOX, and PCI
●Experience in data privacy compliance
●Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
