Job Description

Our client is in the midst of an exciting transformation of their Enterprise Wealth Management Platform, focused on both the expansion of the features they offer to their current market and expansion of the markets that they serve with their platform. To achieve this objective, they need a dynamic leader to redefine their User Experience approach from first principles. Working closely with Product Management and Engineering, the Senior UX Designerís primary focus will be on documenting the user journey and defining a modern, consistent user experience across their products on all platforms that delights their users.

The Role:

-Take ownership of the user experience, defining and influencing the way it develops
-Build UX process, champion an innovative and iterative mindset
-Determine and document Information Architecture and leverage to define and maintain sitemap
-Meticulously consider user interactions and journeys and act as an advocate for the constant improvement of both
-Connect with customers to deeply understand their true needs and top pain-points
-Map out ideal customer journeys and experiences for key scenarios
-Effectively think through and communicate ideas/designs via journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and other artifacts
-Synthesize research outcomes into viable product experiences and communicate to stakeholders
-Participate in and initiate user journey and design review sessions with key stakeholders, gaining consensus and approval on design artifacts
-Work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and developers and influence the design decisions to transform wealth managementís digital experiences
-Own and maintain design principles, patterns and templates for our user interfaces
-Identify and design common reusable design patterns that can be leveraged for multiple features and user journeys, and implemented as templates for simplified implementation by developers
-Stay on top of the latest trends in UX design and leverage that understanding to continuously evolve and improve our products

Must Have Skills:

-8+ years in a UX/UI strategy and design
-Masters or Bachelorí Degree in Human Factors, HCI, Design or related fields (or equivalent work experience)
-A+ portfolio of work (professional and personal) that demonstrates the projects you have worked on and includes examples of your skills with UX first principles, from low-fidelity sketches through to detailed designs

Your Proven Qualities:

-Passionate about developing a better user experience using insights from real people and research
-Understand the importance of Information Architecture and Journey Maps before Visual Design
-Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
-Strong experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of design patterns, templates and standards
-Demonstrated experience developing and communicating UX design guidelines and design specifications
-Ability to plot and map a user journey from end-to-end of a business process flow through to journey completion
-Ability to build and execute design research methodologies or user testing protocols in a high performance, agile development environment
-Demonstrated experience presenting and articulating design decisions to stakeholders from multiple levels of an organization
-Ability to work within a brand and style toolkit with a desire to push existing standards to the next level
-Strong visual design abilities with experience working with a design system
-Mastery of leading design software such as Invision, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe XD)
-Experience with the creation of transactional experiences
-Experience with common UX/UI development frameworks (e.g. Vue.js)
-Excellent communication skills to explain and sell conceptual ideas and design rationale
-Experience working in an agile environment

Nice to Have Skills:

-Familiar with Financial Industry, Wealth Management, Investments, FinTech or other financial related fields
-Experience trading stocks or making personal investment decisions
-Experience working for a Wealth Management, FinTech or Enterprise software vendor
