Job Description

We are looking for an impact-driven Engineering Manager (EM) to the Infrastructure team.

Our Engineering Manager's lead and grow Software Engineers while having responsibility for the overall impact and contribution of their team. As an EM, you'll have autonomy to prioritize what's needed to drive key metrics and growth milestones. A successful EM is willing to take calculated risks, develop robust plans, and focus on driving business impact while leading the overall technical direction.

Technologies that we use (that you and your team will be exposed to):
• Backend: Golang, NodeJS
• Frontend: React, Redux, Websockets
• Database: Postgresql, Redis, DynamoDB, Elastic Search
• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, Flux, Jenkins, DataDog, PagerDuty
• Others: Kafka, Debezium

Future exciting things that we're looking into (that you'll inform decisions on):
• Product analytics and application instrumentation
• A/B testing and experimentation
• Frontend frameworks to enable growth efforts
• Backend technologies to enable rapid, quality feature development
• Data pipelines for attribution and funnel tracking

Must Have Skills:


• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, and 3+ years of individual contributor software development experience
• Proven experience in a infrastructure engineering role
• Rapid, resourceful problem solver
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication to internal stakeholders
• Experience with any project management tool like JIRA / Asana
• A degree from a reputable school (not Greendale Community College -

• Experience building growth-related frameworks and metrics from the ground up
• Experience with Looker for data analytics
• Previous experience in a hyper growth startup
• Open Source experience
