Job Description

The Software Team Lead - Web will be part of an agile development team, building and working on creating valuable improvements to our client's automated proofreading solutions to compare text, images, artwork and printed components. They will provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship, be involved in cross-departmental brainstorming sessions, scoping of timelines, and provide technical insight.

Duties:


Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team, including mentoring.
Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain platforms.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.


Must Have Skills:

3+ years of Software Development Team Lead experience.
Mastery of JavaScript.
Proficient experience with React Framework, HTML, CSS.
Proficient with Node.js
Proficient building REST APIs in a Service-based architecture.
Experience with TypeScript.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with message queues, pub/sub.
Familiarity with developing for AWS platform using containers.


Nice to Have Skills:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills.
