A key part of Coursera’s product strategy is the Coursera Skills Graph - our system that contains data about skills, competencies, careers, learner achievement and more. This system powers many critical product features (eg. search, recommendations, skill development dashboards) across our consumer, degrees and enterprise business lines. This role will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap and execution of projects related to Coursera Skills Graph., You will build scalable learning experiences that shape the future of higher education. You’ll work with Courserians from engineering, design, and pedagogy, as well as with instructors and researchers at partner universities. Your efforts will enable a thriving community of learners to transform their lives, help each other and contribute to the learning experience in meaningful ways.

Your responsibilities:

- Own the product vision and strategy for Coursera Skills - our system that contains data about skills, competencies, careers, learner achievement and more
- Understand external customer jobs to be done and internal stakeholder business priorities that rely on Coursera Skills to build or enhance product features
- Align external customers and internal stakeholders on priorities and the roadmap for Coursera Skills
- Create actionable roadmaps and lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, designers and engineers to build highly leveraged foundation and product features
- Ship impactful product features on time and in scope through solid execution and making smart tradeoffs in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment
- Ensure successful product launches with go-to-market activities and post-launch analysis to inform future product direction

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of product management experience
- 3+ years direct experience building data products and/or ML powered products (eg. recommender systems, search backend, risk or fraud classification, image recognition, autonomous vehicles, etc)
- Direct experience in scaling platform-level capabilities that serve multiple use cases
- Demonstrable experience creating holistic product vision and strategy
- Has worked in highly cross-functional projects with the ability to align disparate stakeholders and set realistic expectations amongst competing priorities
- Knowledgeable about user research methods to deeply understand customer jobs to be done and evaluating user experience
- Experience taking new product ideas from zero to one; skilled at design sprints, iterative prototyping and human-centered design
- Excellent consumer insight as demonstrated by shipping consumer products or services that result in step-function changes in key product and business metrics
- Structured and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ year of direct experience working in information science or with products such as knowledge graphs, taxonomies or ontologies
- Academic coursework and/or work experience as a data scientist
- Experienced in hypothesis-driven product iteration, running A/B testing, analyzing results and determining business impact
