Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Ops) will design, deploy, build and manage customer-facing Amazon-based SaaS application infrastructure and create all the tooling and automation needed to enable our teams and give our customers a top-drawer experience.  Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and embed with Engineering teams to build and constantly drive excellence in our products.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Ops) is to make sure our SaaS products are online and performing well at all times. 

Must Have Skills:

This involves a litany of skills such as:

- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP Services;
- Deployment, managing and best practices of Kubernetes and Docker;
- Experience or drive to work with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack;
- Solid understanding of Python, Java, Go, or another development language;
- Master at CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Grafana;
- Managing and scaling databases such as ElasticSearch, InfluxDB, Postgres;
- Vision of how to rollout a DevSecOps, and GitOps practice.

This job might be for you if you:

-Can write code – in any language; php, python, ruby, java, shell scripting, whatever (ideally in multiple languages) – and you have implemented some of your stuff into a production environment.
-Have at least a few years’ experience in an operational role, whether that be DevOps, SRE or traditional network/server management.
-Are familiar with at least one configuration management system; Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack or equivalent.
-Love technology and want to work on a killer platform with cutting edge capabilities ripe for automating.
-Believe that a happy customer is one that doesn’t have to call you with problems or to report errors.
-Are comfortable communicating with people at all levels of the company who are spread all over the world.
-Understand that a job is not finished until it’s tested, documented and highly automated.
-Know that occasionally, you’ll probably be fixing something from home in your PJ’s
-Have worked on 24x7x365 production systems deployed in multiple sites and geographies.

You’re practically a shoe in if you:

-Like gluing RESTful API’s together to create something relevant, useful and interesting.
-Proactive to identifying and resolving development and customer problems.
-Have achieved mastery of Linux server operating environments.
-Have worked on more than one public cloud in a hybrid solution deployment – mainly Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform and understand how they all can inter-operate with each other.
