About the role:

We are looking for a NetDevOps Engineer to join our client's software development organization. Part of the DevOps team, the NetDevOps Engineer will work towards automating the entire software development lifecycle, implementing infrastructure as code best practices, and supporting cloud adoption. The NetDevOps Engineer will engage in continuous learning to stay on top of Networking, Network Design, virtualization, containerization, cloud computing, and emerging technologies that can benefit software development. The NetDevOps Engineer will be both a technical implementer and a resource for the software development organization. The right person for the role is result-driven and always striving to improve and support dev teams accelerate.


Must Have Skills:

● 3+ years in Networking or Net DevOps
● Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science is good to have
● working on the Networking side to automate network resourcing where possible
● experience with Devices like Fortinet, Dell Switches
● experience with WAN, BGP, Megaport
● support and Manage a Fortinet firewall and office network
● support Network related issues
● automate the creation of public cloud resources in AWS and GCP like instances, load balancers, database, storage. by developing our Terraform/Packer/SaltStack deployment infrastructure
● develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery systems
● manage hosts and databases in XenServer/VMware and AWS/GCP environments, including monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery preparation
● manage deployments of the Enterprise Wealth Management System, and suggest and develop process improvements
● develop reusable code for infrastructure automation
● support software development via tooling and infrastructure improvements and automation
● implement reliability practices for environments (using New Relic or cloud watch)
● available for on-call rotation to support critical deployments

● Possess a University degree/College diploma in Computer Science or a related area
● Knowledge of current trends and best practices
● Excellent communication skills
● Operating systems: Linux, Windows Server
● Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL, standalone and in RDS
● AWS: EC2, EBS, Route 53, Load Balancers, etc.,
● GCP: Instance, Storage, Networking, load balancers etc.,
● Tooling: Terraform (Other HashiCorp tools such as Packer, Consul, or Vault beneficial), SaltStack
● Source Code Control: SVN, Bitbucket/Git
● Build Pipeline: Bitbucket, Bamboo, Nexus, Crucible, Fisheye, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence
● Scripting in Bash, Python
● PowerShell, Java, Maven, Ant all beneficial
● Knowledge of and commitment to DevOps practices and aims, particularly infrastructure as code
● Cloud computing (particularly AWS) knowledge
● New Relic, Cloud watch, Pager Duty and Elastic stack for Reliability implementation
