As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining web and applications in a team environment. They are looking for someone who is a quick learner, and able to read, understand and debug legacy code. You will be expected to adhere to business specifications while using the latest standards, practices, tools, and guidelines for .NET. Ideally, you can take on some React/Redux front-end application development as well. You should be comfortable building new components, and maintaining/upgrading old code.


Must Have Skills:

- 8+ years of software development experience within a .NET environment
- Able to define and implement the enterprise architectural vision and dive deep to troubleshoot when needed and clearly communicate your findings and proposed solutions.Proven experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, operating across organizational and technology teams to drive common approaches, as well as delivering sustainable, agile and re-usable solutions.
- Experience leading teams to gather, translate and communicate customer technical and business needs into a solution architecture, and delivering these solutions on time, on budget, and with greater value than expected
- Experience compiling and reviewing non-functional specifications, including hardware and application infrastructure requirements, security model, and deployment plans
Guiding the evolution of the solution to ensure continued adherence to best practices
- Demonstrated experience in SaaS and Cloud native implementation (Azure preferred).
- Experience with modern stacks including cloud, microservices, containers, CI/CD. Hands on experience in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Terraform and Red Hat OpenShift
- Able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of architectural principles and describe the employment of those on several projects. Demonstrates architecture experience producing end-to-end solution models rapidly with focus on non-functional requirements.
- Well versed with communicating complex technical details to business and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision. Self-directed. Provide technical oversight to development teams. Work with the Technical Specialists to resolve problems with software and develop solutions.
- 3+ years of experience working with ElasticSearch, Redis
- A great team player, with demonstrable experience delivering superior software products via Agile methodologies


Nice to Have Skills:

- Ecommerce experience
- Python/Django experience
- Git and Github experience
- Experience with agile team development and tools like Jira
- Development experience using Entity Framework and writing custom SQL stored procedures
- Experience with mobile web development
- Experience with continuous integration using Bamboo or Jenkins
- Linux experience (Ubuntu preferably)
