Our client is a 30+ person financial services start-up out of San Francisco changing the way Immigrants can assess loans and credit in their new country!
With a quarter of a billion people immigrating each year; they have found an untapped market. With rapid traction across US, Europe and Asia, they are looking to scale out their Engineering and Product teams - hiring remotely across Canada and the USA.
They are looking for a Data Scientist who will help them rewrite the approach to banking.
What you can expect to contribute to:
-Continuously explore new alternative data sources to add incremental predictiveness in the models though orthogonal signals/features.
-Build end to end machine learning models
-Create, expand, explore, rank & maintain logs of innovative internal features
-Expand the performance data using organic & synthetic methods wherever possible.
-Develop automation capabilities & advanced dashboards required for faster processing and monitoring.
-Own end to end model implementation, model iteration, model versioning, for production and sandbox environment
-Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to implement, ship, test and monitor the risk models.

Must Have Skills:
-Bachelorís degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering
-Expert knowledge of Python or R, & SQL
-Experience using cloud technologies and distributed/data computing tools
-Proficiency in writing and maintaining production level code
-ML Delivery Experience
Nice to Have Skills:
-Master's Degree in Quantitative Field preferred.
