Job Description

Our client's machine learning platforms leverage automotive assembly and vehicle data to detect the earliest indicators of future product failures. We help automakers optimize quality, safety, and reliability throughout the entire product life cycle, from the assembly line to the finish line.

We are looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about software quality for an intuitive and efficient User Experience to bring Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to manufacturing shop floor.

You will work closely with our Product Owner, Product Manager, and developers, contribute to the quality, testing automation, CI/CD pipeline of our DevOps process that covers from User experience to backend functionality that make data management and ML/AI insight delivery a natural extension for the staffs of a manufacturing line.

You will work with the data scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and software developers to ensure smooth end-to-end user experience, and high quality of the Cloud native SaaS solutions.


Must Have Skills:

Proven work experience in software development organizations
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Solid knowledge of Python, Node.js, SQL and scripting
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Knowledge and experience in production line operations in Precision (digitized) manufacturing, and/or mechanical engineering in automotive manufacturing industry

Responsibilities:

Reviewing and contributing to quality specifications, definition of done, acceptance criteria and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases, test scripts, and improve testing processes and turn-around time
Contribute to the DevOps CI/CD pipeline
Track quality assurance metrics, estimate effort and time requirements, and manage QA backlog, coordinating release quality gates
Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
Drive bug tracking, facilitate resolution of bugs, and update system requirements, knowledge base and lessons learned from bugs and issues
Own quality non-conformant analysis and facilitate correction plans


Nice to Have Skills:

Worked on automotive manufacturing shops, ideally on the lines is highly valued asset
History of being software developer is a plus
Experiences and passion in Agile practice, including Scrum Master roles is a plus
