Job Description

Our client is an innovative firm that operates in the CyberSecurity space. They build innovative solutions that provide cyber security and firmware lifecycle management as as service for the IoT industry. Their solutions also impact building automation, smart buildings, and smart cities!

We are looking for an experienced technical to join a rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will understand how to scope out technical writing projects, working with the technical product teams to understand requirements for setup, desired use, and troubleshooting and be a part of contributing to the overall success of our products. You will collaboratively work with developers, quality assurance, product managers, and usability experts to enhance user experience and make our products easier to use. The focus of the role is to create various forms of content for print and digital publications to facilitate a premium, easy-to-follow end-user experience.

The successful candidate must excel at writing, organization, proof-reading, editing, and formatting to ensure the delivery of audience-appropriate technical documentation with graphical components and instructional content.

Responsibilities

- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Work with internal teams and customer feedback on product and documentation requirements
- Write easy-to-understand user interface manuals, online support, Q&A documents and developer guides
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
- Create tutorials to help end-users navigate our products
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on ongoing improvement
- Create and maintain the information for current and future use
- Edit documentation for clarity without changing key information
- Conduct research, as required, on the specified area of topic
- Interview subject matter experts and gather feedback to gain a deeper understanding of the topic being written about


Must Have Skills:

Education:
- Certificate in Technical Writing and/or Bachelorís degree in a related field
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

Skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- In-depth knowledge of HTML and Microsoft Office
- Basic familiarity with software development
- Ability to weigh the needs of separate stakeholders and identify conflicts that could lead to issues at the time of a launch.

Experience
- 3-5 years of proven work experience in technical writing in a software environment
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
- Experienced with HTML
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picture format
- Experience producing visually easy to follow content for a global audience
