Job Description

Gurulink has partnered with a U.S. based computational biology technology firm. Their innovative platform is disrupting the bio-tech space through the democratization of medical data to further research through crowdsourcing.

They have an international team of Fronted Developers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientist and Data Engineers. This is a mission-driven company committed to advancing and integrating Artificial intelligence in healthcare research. To advance their mission they have developed an algorithmic search engine which aggregates all available data related to drug discovery, epidemiology and pharmacology that can be recalled within seconds via text search or voice search NLP (natural language processing).

Given their early success and demonstrable growth they are preparing for version 2.0 of their platform. This has opened an opportunity to expand their scope and refine their web applications to support the search engine and machine learning models. They require the talents of a senior frontend developer, capable of providing technical leadership, hands-on development, product scaling and architecture expertise.

Senior Frontend Developer Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver data-intensive client-side applications
Collaborate and contribute to a talented front-end development team. Your input matters.
Work directly with renowned data scientists and computational biologists
Collaborate with Product Management to craft and deliver novel product and features
Spend a significant portion of your time writing production code

Must Have Skills:

Experience developing interactive, data-driven applications
Proficient in React or Typescript and Rest API, GraphQL or Swagger API
5+ years of tactical, hands-on frontend software development experience
BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience integrating applications with cloud-based microservices

Nice to Have Skills:

Hands-on experience doing biomedical research
Formal education in Computational Biology
Development and application of Machine Learning algorithms
Experience working with Big Data
