Our client, a rapidly scaling Toronto start-up in the healthcare space is looking for an experienced Data Analyst / Data Analytics engineer to join their team as they continue to expand their Rewards platform across North America. Your work will directly impact the lives of those receiving and delivering care as well as the families that are often left struggling to care for their loved ones. They are building solutions for an industry that has traditionally been left behind. They are still early in their journey, but getting very good traction with their niche product from clients, users, and investors.

For this role, you will be the first dedicated data hire and will build the foundation for our data driven culture. They hire leaders who put others first and bring a creative lens to problem-solving. You will work with product, engineering, customer success, support, and business development to enable data-driven decisions and data-driven business processes.

Access to Data / Discoverability
-Modelling, creating data marts, data quality assurance and validation
-Creating (reusable & adhoc) reports and analysis in the BI Layer for use by the product and business teams
-Creating documentation (through DBT Docs or data cataloguing tools) to catalog high quality sources of data and how they are used

Insights
-Some metrics may be straightforward, others may require business and product context to build “future proofed” models and metrics
-Collaborate with product team to inform feature prioritization and feature results
-Supporting the decision making process for customer success and business development teams

Data infrastructure
-Leading decisions on data tooling such as orchestration, BI tools, cataloguing tools


Must Have Skills:

-3+ years of professional analytics or data experience
-Experienced with SQL, ideally having worked with a Snowflake data warehouse
-Experience working with Snowflake SQL, Postgres, or MySQL in a professional capacity


Nice to Have Skills:

-You have a breadth of experience and are able/motivated to assume multiple roles that would traditionally be individual specializations within a data-team at a larger organization
-You are able to illicit requirements from non-technical stakeholders (e.g. customer success, support, business development) and advocate the use of data in decision making processes
-Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, orequivalent
