Job Description

Our client, is true a start-up division within a large leader in the American finance and lending space. They are looking for a Principal Software Engineer, FS to join their growing engineering team, as they are building fin-tech applications completely from scratch that will support billions of dollars running through their financial products each year.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our APIs, services, websites, and internal tools. You will also work with other backend and frontend engineers in the team to integrate solutions into the product flows. The ideal candidate will have a sense of ownership of the features they build, a good understanding of product development, and a focus on solving engineering problems. You should have proven experience in building backend solutions from conception to production and experience working both back and front ends.

Must Have Skills:

-Strong experience in building backend and front-end systems with the following technologies: Python & Angular
-Strong experience with SQL
-Good understanding of relational database design and management
-Experience in building REST APIs and micro-services architecture
-Experience within cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
-Knowledge of security and data protection
-Experience in implementing secure authentication and authorization
-Experience with Agile software development methodologies

Nice to Have Skills:

-DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines
