Job Description

Our client builds leading-edge Enterprise Asset Management software to help some of the world’s largest organizations to manage millions of fleet and fixed assets in over fifty countries. They enable customers to mine mission-critical data to optimize the maintenance of their assets.

They are seeking a Senior DBA to join their team immediately.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain internal database servers, including resource monitoring, backups, index maintenance, patching and optimizing database resources.
- Oversee product development databases, including building upgrade packages, maintaining database change log repositories, and preparing deployment packages for on-prem and hosted customers.
- Manage multiple SQL Server instances using AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AOAG) and implement processes to test Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios.
- Implement the security policy and protection of customer data through encryption technologies such as SQL TDE, Always Encrypted, BitLocker, SSL/TLS and Azure Key Vault.
- Collaborate with the Development and Platform Engineering teams to support the transition from traditional relational databases to multi-tenant cloud data services.
- Work with multiple internal and external customers to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables for Fortune 10 as well as SME clients.
- Prepare, test, and troubleshoot database upgrade packages for customer and internal deployments, including customized or product-specific settings.
- Set up new product databases to onboard new customers in collaboration with implementation and Deployment teams.
- Accurately documenting DBA procedures and checklists in a knowledge base.

Must Have Skills:

- Ideally, you have 2-3 years of DBA experience in a Software Development environment.
- Familiarity with traditional relational database systems, especially SQL Server.
- Interest or experience in cloud database technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Redis, Postgres, Azure Fabric, and Cosmos DB.
- Proficiency in tools like SSDT, SSMS, SQL Profiler, Azure Data Studio, PowerShell scripts, and Grafana.
- A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on securing and protecting customer data.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
