Job Description
Our client raised a Series C of $45million USD, for over $100million total financing and is now rapidly scaling. They spun out of the UC Berkeley AI Research Lab and develops artificial intelligence to support care for those with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments.
Alzheimer’s disease is the single most expensive disease in the US, costing an estimated $600b per year in direct and indirect costs. It affects 1 in 3 people over 85 and 1 in 9 people over 65. Their first product is focused on reducing the frequency and impact of falls, the leading cause of hospitalization for those living with Dementia. We have peer-reviewed results showing up to 80% fewer falls with an average of 40% fewer falls and 80% fewer ER visits from falls.
Your Role:
A technology company is seeking a Senior DevOps professional to enhance and expand its platform. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational and architectural mindset to enhance system stability, scalability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Security: Manage network segmentation, VPC networking, cross-region networking, and identity services (OAuth, SAML). Ensure data encryption in transit and at rest.
Stability: Maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, manage Kubernetes clusters, and oversee monitoring with Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and OpsGenie.
Developer Experience: Improve CI/CD pipelines using FluxCD, Helm, and other tools. Support development teams with optimized workflows.
Data Management: Securely store, catalog, and process large volumes of data for analytics and machine learning.
Must Have Skills:
•Extensive AWS expertise, balancing managed services with cost-effective custom solutions.
•Strong Linux internals knowledge, including embedded IoT device management.
•Broad technical curiosity spanning security, databases, and AI.
•Self-motivated with Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban).
•Passionate about automation to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
•5-7 years managing AWS and implementing DevOps practices; 1-3 years managing Linux platforms and ML pipelines.
